 The Chittlin Circuit has contacted one of the American Blues Network's on air personalities, Ms. Beverly McDowell. She gave us a detailed description of the aftermath of Katrina in the Gulf Coast area.
Beverly McDowell, is pictured on the right of Little Milton and Taffany Shipp of the Chittlin Circuit and you can listen to her interview below.
We contacted Omar Cummingham and he and his family are doing well. In fact, Omar is helping a few families from the disaster area himself. I hear the J. Diamond Washington is doing ok. Fats Domino has been taken out of the New Orleans area according to his daughter. I have yet to contact any of the Neal family of Philiper Steward, who runs the Buddy Steward Record Shop in Baton Rouge, La. |
