1st Annual Jackie Neal Family Day PDF Print E-mail
The First Annual Jackie Neal Family Day At The Park, will begin this Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the Johnson Court Yard on North Foster Street in Baton Rouge, La. Gates open at noon and will last until the wee hours. Attending the Family Day, will be all of Jackie Neal's family and various local bands will provide the entertainment. Jackie's middle son Bro Bro, nephew Tyree and the Jackie Neal Band will also be on stage. Proceeds from the event, will go to assist Jackie's three sons.
Charlene Neal, Jackie's older sister, tells the Chittlin Circuit that the family plans to make this a yearly event so, if you live in or near the Baton Rouge area, stop by and say hello.

Jackie Neal, a popular Blues singer from Baton Rouge, La. was killed by her ex boyfriend, James White last March. On May 11th, James White was indicted for first degree murder plus several other charges.
