Rap Artist Kurtis Blow Walker Aims To Change Today's Youth One Rhyme At A Time! PDF Print E-mail

Holy Hip-Hop Rapper and International Rap Recording Artist, Composer and Minister Kurtis Blow Walker announced the formation of a new recording group today.
Kurtis Blow and The Trinity, a holy hip-hop recording group will be in town, April 7th, 2007 to perform at Greater Union Baptist Church on North Guillemard Street for the beginning of his tour. This stop will lead up to the release of his April 24th album release with a holy hip-hop tour for his epic peace and God changing Anthem songs “Just Do It” and “Tha Block Iz Hot."
Blow performed the entire month of February in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, and other European locations. Now, Blow is back in the United States. Kurtis Blow and The Trinity will be performing in various locations around Florida and throughout the U.S. Blow's objective is to bring together children, teens and young adults from numerous races, countries, creeds, religions, and colors and relay his message to take the streets back from violence.
The purpose of the CD entitled "Just Do It" is Peace in the Streets and the CD is to be used as a mechanism to create awareness of a much larger goal and to spread the message of peace and harmony to the world through the power of rap -instead of killing and stealing.
The unforgettable chorus of one of the song states: "Tha Block Iz Hot! You Know it Don't Stop. Locked Up Five Times on Parole. Hustling, Banging is All I Really Know! The Streets Need a Way to Be Free! Preacha Man Tell Me Where Can I Go! Preacha Man ... Preach, Preach to me. Gangsta, Gangsta is What They Call Me ... Preacha Man calls me a King! Tell Me Where Can I Go! ... I Know it's a Way Out... The Man Keeps Telling Me it's Jesus! Help Me!"
Blow, who originally built his message on the streets of New York as a pioneer rapper and rap's first millionaire plans to take the streets back with this new Holy Hip-Hop message.
Blow states, "Ministry is my mission and my message is love and salvation. The music and message are intended to transcend all ages, genders, races, and religions to help create a harmonized, peaceful world."
Blow's album, titled "Just Do It," will be available in retail stores and at online outlets on April 24th.
