| 50 Nominees to Attend Blues Music Awards |

So far close to 50 nominees have confirmed their attendance at the Blues Music Awards May 11 at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee on May 11. The presenting sponsor for the 2006 Blues Music Awards is the Gibson family of products. Those attending the event will be hangin’ with Tab Benoit, Elvin Bishop, Mookie Brill, Big George Brock, Nora Jean Bruso, DuWayne Burnside, Sam Carr, Tommy Castro, Shemekia Copeland, Rich Del Grosso Billy Gibson, Zac Harmon, Denise LaSalle, Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Janiva Magness, Bob Margolin, Big James Montgomery, Nick Moss & the Flip Tops, Paul Oscher, Calvin Owens, Sista Monica Parker, Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers, Bobby Purify, Ann Rabson, Bobby Rush, Mem Shannon, Eddie Shaw, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Bob Stroger, Otis Taylor, Eddie Turner, Michael “Mudcat” Ward and Kim Wilson. Most of these folks will be on stage at one time or another. We also expect some very special guests joining in the festivities. Hurry, those rooms are disappearing fast. 3. Show up early and stay late. When planning your travel, remember the Beale Street Music Festival will be May 5-7 and the Ponderosa Stomp will be May 9-10. The 2006 Blues Music Awards are Thursday, May 11 at the Cook Convention Center. The night after the 2006 Blues Music Awards, the folks at Delta Groove Productions and Blues Revue will present a not-to-be-missed show featuring their great nominees and many others. “The Delta Groove All Star Blues Revue” show will feature The Mannish Boys, Mitch Kashmar, the Hollywood Blue Flames, and The Delta Groove All Star Blues Revue, featuring Finis Tasby, Kid Ramos, Kirk Fletcher, Johnny Dyer, Leon Blue, Al Blake, Larry Taylor and Randy Chortkoff. But that ain't all, in addition to the regular Delta Groove gang, you will also see Kim Wilson, Paul Oscher, Rusty Zinn and Junior Watson!!!! The party will be at the New Daisy Theater on Beale Street in Memphis. The doors open at 8 p.m. and we will be going late! It is recommended that you get tickets for this event early!
