Yep, it's official! The next Jus' Blues Awards will be held next year in Memphis, Tn., August 16th, 2007. This event will be at the famed Historical Daisy Theatre located on Beale Street.
The Jus Blues Music Awards Show is a Tribute To The Legends of the Blues. In past years - Jus Blues Awards has honored such Blues greats as Lowell Fulson, Aaron''T Bone' Walker, Memphis Minnie, Percy Mayfield, Little Milton and many others. These legends all have expressed the pain and agony of their lives through their music.

Other artists getting Jus Blues Awards recognition includes: Denise LaSalle, Bobby Rush, Millie Jackson, Clarence Carter, Theodis Ealey, Trudy Lynn, William Bell, Lucky Peterson, Marvin Sease, Sandra Hall, Willie Hill and Sir Charles Jones.

The first Jus Blues Awards was held July 1995, Lowell Fulson came to our event to received the First Lowell Fulson's Legends Jus Blues Award, Lowell told me at that time he has not been honored that way. I also told him then that his Award would remain a part of the Jus Blues Awards. Since that time artists who has received this award includes Chick Willis, Lucky Peterson and Theodis Ealey who received it in July 2006.

Our theme this year will be to focus on legendary Blues Artist, how they got their songs recorded, how some of them had big hit records, and how they are responsible for the success of the Artists who are making hits today and touring all over the world and sharing the Blues with the rest of the world.

Remembering that our main Mission is to continue to help in educating the Artists and those who have an interest about where Blues music comes from, how it is connected to Blues & Soul Artist and their music of today.
