| Kenne' Wayne - Gentleman of Southern Soul |
As the Executive Publisher of the Chittlin' Circuit Magazine, I've had the opportunity to chit-chat, interview and mingle with many entertainers. And quite honestly, the various entertainers are memorable for many different reasons. Some reasons are complimentary and others not so complimentary. Chittlin' Circuit recently set down with Kenne' Wayne and had an "A & B Conversation" with him. And I must say, that from the very first time that I met Kenne’ he presented himself in a way that sets him apart from some of the other folk in the business. Yes, he possesses the obvious ingredients of success: 'real' vocal talent, a beautiful sound, and skills as an engineer, producer, songwriter and arranger. But here’s the kicker – Kenne’ adds an 'inviting, engaging personality, topped of with ‘pure’ professionalism. The Chittlin’ Circuit refers to Kenne as the “Gentleman of Southern Soul.” Chittlin’ Circuit: Which legendary artists have influenced your style of music? Kenne: Johnny Taylor, The O'Jays and Tyrone Davis. Kenne has a very unique style and sound, not to be confused with anyone else once you hear his voice. His current CD, with Good Time Records is titled "Time to Get Lose" and it supports Kenne’s motto: “Live, love and have a good time.” Kenne says his songs are from his life.” Songs about relationships and blues parties are recuring themes on all of his CDs and that's probably why so many people can identify with them. The new project is no disappointment. His "hot single" called, “Soul Blues” gets right to the heart of the matter. You can't help but to start moving and grooving in your seat. Since the days of “A & B Conversation,” “Soul Blues” is his latest entry to the Southern Soul market and it this single is quickly blowing up the radio airways and the charts. There is no other way to perceive this brand new release than to recognize the talent and the ability of this veteran enterainer. Kenne Wayne + Good Time Records = “Time to Get Lose.” What a great equation for Hot Lyrics! and Hot Tracks! Now ready for adds on all Urban, Southern Soul and Blues formats.
