The 2008 Jus` Blues Music Awards Show will salute a number Blues & Soul music artists & industry professionals for their artistry, outstanding accomplishments and significant contributions to the genre.
The 2008 Jus` Blues Music Awards Show voting period is NOW OPEN. For a limited time, members and patrons of JusBluesMusic.com can vote online for their favorite artist, song, radio DJ and various other categories.
All the public tallies will be rendered and submitted with the Jus` Blues Music Selection Committee. The nominee(s) with the most submissions will be the winner of the particular category. It was just a few months ago in Memphis, TN., at the Jus Blues Music Awards, that the Chittlin Circuit was given an award for the best Internet Radio Station for 2007. When you work hard on a project it is always nice to know that all of your efforts have not gone unoticed.
We have now learned that the Bay Area Blues Society in Oakland, California has awarded the Chittlin Circuit Magazine the Best Blues Publication for 2008. As mentioned before it is a pleasure to know that all of the hard work and dedication that is put into a project in noticed by others.
The Chittlin Circuit Magazine is read by music lovers all over the country and is the perfect publication for artist of all kinds to promote their music, plays, books and movies. Many artists send us their project just to get our input. Just ask Little Junior Crudup (also honored this year), we were one of the first to view his short film "The Blues".

While on assignment in Memphis, TN. the "Chittlin Circuit" was able to pay a visit to recording artist "The Duchess". She has just relaesed a new single titled "Cry No More", which written by veteran artist Toni Green, who also appears on the track. This song is the latest release from Loveland Records based in Memphis, TN.
The Duchess explains "So much of this song relates to my own experiences dealing with relationships. When Toni asked me to do the song, I had no choice but to accept, the words really hit home for me."

Ike Turner, whose role as one of rock's critical architects, died Wednesday at his home in suburban San Diego. He was 76.
"He did pass away this morning" at his home in San Marcos, in northern San Diego County, said Scott M. Hanover of Thrill Entertainment Group, which managed Turner's musical career.
There was no immediate word on the cause of death, which was first reported by celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
Turner managed to rehabilitate his image somewhat in his later years, touring around the globe with his band the Kings of Rhythm and drawing critical acclaim for his work. He won a Grammy in 2007 in the traditional blues album category for "Risin' With the Blues."
