Today August 24, 2006 the Godfather of Southern Soul, Theodis Ealey will be in surgery at St Joe's Hospital in Atlanta. Just after a regular check up yesterday, it was determined that a Triple Heart Bypass was necessary.
So let's ALL Pray for Brother Ealey and hope for a speedy and complete recovery. We will keep you informed as to Brother Theodis' condition.

With so much going on around the world, it is refreshing to see a honest and "For The People" person running for congress.
Yvonne Brown is just such a person. As a second term Mayor of Tchula, Mississippi, Yvonne is challenging the 13 year incumbent, Benny Thompson for the District 2 House Seat.
Why is the Chittlin Circuit so concerned about this race? Well, one of Ms. Brown's platforms is that music education should be funded and taught in the public schools. "Music helps children learn" explains Ms. Brown.

Yes, it is true! The "Tell it like it is, Pull on punches Millie Jackson and the All to sexy Ms monique have teamed up to do a remix of Ms Monique's Hot single "Mr. Do Right".
Ms Monique informed the Chittlin Circuit a few days ago of the pending release of this "history in the making" song and now we are going to bring it to you.
“What an honor it was to be in the midst of such natural talent,” said Ms. Monique. "Millie is very on the surface and that there is nothing pretentious about her; she tells it like it is. I love that about her".

It was a night to remember and many of the Southern Soul and Blues singers were in the house. Some of those attending were Clarence Carter, Denise LaSalle, Sir Charles Jones, Jesse James, LJ Echols, Ms Monique, Trudy Lynn, LaKeisha, Little Phil, Barbara Carr, and many more. The big winner was Bill Coday who was awarded the First Annual Denise LaSalle Recording Award.
